Let’s say the ball is struck and the batter reaches – then what?
I had a batter strike the catcher (badly) and knock the runner in from 2nd. Enforced interference – called R2 out and left the batter at first. In younger age players this version is fairly common.
I told the mgr that I would research it and it kept him in the game. So far all I got is the 6.01(a). A college umpire agreed with me but I don’t see a rule to support me.
They lost 3-2 and it bugs me I may have cost them the game.
