What sort of penalties can be assessed by deliberate slowing of the game by the teams? It’ll be interesting to see the creativity involved attempting to cool rallies. Will there be flops to take time for minor injuries where the player can rub some dirt on it & continue the game? Spring training will be wild 💯

Umpires have been instructed to keep an eye out for deliberate slowing of the game such as catcher delaying his throw back to the pitcher. Penalty will be a ball on the batter for that infraction. Consistent deliberate delays will result in ejection.

Consult J.T Realmuto on this one. Randy Rosenberg ejected him yesterday for not having eyes in the back of his head.
