kanettp30ParticipantHow to enforce the rules that have been in the rule book for a century considered a “war”? It is simply overdue executing THE RULES for too long.- May 24, 2022 at 4:27 pm

kanettp30ParticipantSituation 1: R1, no outs. Fly ball hit to deep right field, and R1 tags up and is in between second and third base when the ball is thrown. The ball goes out of play. Is R1 awarded 3B or HP?Situation 2: R1 and R3, 1 out. Fly ball, R3 legally tags, and scores. R1 leaves early and is called out on appeal, but after R3 crossed the plate. Does the run score?

kanettp30ParticipantI play shortstop and I pitch for my freshman team and every time I throw a ball it’s not accurate I feel like I think too much about the throw but at the same time, I feel as if there is something wrong in my mechanics but mainly the ball goes off to the side and is rarely on target.- May 17, 2022 at 9:06 am

kanettp30ParticipantGood overview of baseball positions. One correction: Barry Bonds was never a regular DH since he played his entire career in the National League, which doesn’t have a DH (as of 2021.) He played left field until the end of his career. (He did play DH in a few games each year, in the relatively small number of inter-league games they played at AL ballparks.)- May 13, 2022 at 10:12 am

kanettp30ParticipantWhen a right-handed pitcher makes a pick-off attempt to first base after the coming set, is it ever permissible for his pivot foot to remain in contact with the rubber? Basically, I was questioning a call in my son’s game. The pitcher came to set and stepped towards first but his right foot didn’t come off the rubber. I have always been taught that the pivot foot must clear the rubber before a throw first. Am I wrong?- April 21, 2022 at 10:38 am

kanettp30ParticipantThere are a lot of abbreviations about its rules, I’m learning because I’m new to this subject.
